# SignalHub

> SignalHub is an open-source, self-hosted platform for status pages, uptime monitoring and incident communication. It runs on your own infrastructure as one container plus PostgreSQL, under the Apache-2.0 license, with no per-subscriber, per-page or per-seat fees and no telemetry. It is a free alternative to paid status page services such as Atlassian Statuspage, Better Stack, Instatus and incident.io.

- Price: $0 license. No per-subscriber, per-page or per-seat charges. You pay only for your server, PostgreSQL and your email or SMS provider.
- Included in every install: SAML SSO, OIDC, SCIM, authenticator-app MFA, a SHA-256 hash-chained audit log, private and audience-restricted pages, REST API with OpenAPI.
- Monitoring: 7 check types (HTTP, TCP, DNS, SSL, keyword, ICMP, heartbeat) with failure and recovery thresholds.
- Notifications: subscribers by email, SMS, webhook and RSS; teams in Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty and 20 more destinations; 8 SMS providers and 19 email presets.
- Privacy: data stays in your PostgreSQL database; secrets encrypted with AES-256-GCM; no telemetry, no phone-home; organization export, no lock-in.
- Runs on: Linux (./install.sh), Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Node.js 22.9+, Render, Railway, Fly.io, DigitalOcean, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure. Requires PostgreSQL 14+.
- Limits: interface is English only; checks run from your own worker(s); self-hosting does not produce a vendor compliance report.
